Howard D. McKeon is President of The McKeon Group and he works with clients, employees and partners to achieve their objectives which leads to McKeon Group’s success. After 25 years of experience as a senior executive in the telecom industry and Fortune 100 Companies, Howard focused his energy and experience to Co-Found McKeon Group with Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon. He leverages his private sector experience to assist clients in navigating the challenging and complex federal government environment.  

Prior to McKeon Group, Howard was Chief Operating Officer of Cota Cole LLP, a municipal advice and litigation firm. He was National Vice President at Next Student focusing on student loans for America’s future leaders. Prior to the merger between Sprint and Nextel he was a Senior Director at Nextel. Through the merger of the telecom icons, he was named Vice President at SprintNextel. In each leadership role Mr. McKeon has held, he has been able to educate, motivate and negotiate with others to develop and execute a plan. Since the inception of McKeon Group, he has had the opportunity to work directly with the US Government, specifically with the legislature in authorizations and appropriations. He has assisted in crafting language for the National Defense Authorization Act each year as well as the final appropriation bills.  

Mr. McKeon has now led McKeon Group since 2015 and appreciates the opportunity to work with such an outstanding and passionate team. He works to achieve both his client’s objectives as well as his employee’s. He regularly engages with Congress and has developed significant relationships with our nation’s leaders to advance the initiatives of his clients. He works with his team to assist them in achieving their professional goals and appreciates their advancement. 

Mr. McKeon is from California, married to Heather McKeon and they have four children. He was educated at Brigham Young University and follows their sports program faithfully. He enjoys time with his grandchildren and athletics. He particularly enjoys playing golf with Chairman McKeon.
